" These shots are of the studio in my flat in Old Church Street, Chelsea. The equipment was rudimentary. I used old road amps and speakers for monitors (very very loud). And two Two Vortexion heavy duty tape machines. I overdubbed from machine to machine in stereo. A Reslo ribbon mike. No echo. No compression. No equalisation. With equipment like that I made the demos of: I can see for miles; Magic Bus and My Generation. Lots of others".
The primary lineup consisted of Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle and Keith Moon.
