Neither  technological progress nor exploration of artesian strata and  invention of mighty desalinating devices could diminish the  value of pure water, which remains the planet's No. 1 treasure  to this day. Scientists predict that in 25 years' time, 8  billion people may risk becoming victims of a water crisis  unless we learn to care for every drop of water we spend. The  floor of the Aral Sea has become a lifeless desert.     <br><br>
